和女儿最后告别就要来临了，我知道我必须坚强。再次感谢大家两周以来的支持，很多
朋友虽然从未谋面，但你们温暖的字字句句我都会记在心里，愿善良的人们永远平安，
幸福。 April
Thank you all for your presence here to share Jolene your condolences and
say your last goodbyes.
Jolene’s sudden leave is a big loss for the family and all who loved her.
Thinking of her short life, I cannot hold back the many memories of her. I
remember the first time I woke up from anesthesia and seeing her not as the
baby that I hoped to have but a baby in an incubator, tubes of all sort
sticking here and there. I remember in NICU, when they were shining that
poor little baby with some light in a nest bed—the kind of bed that is
shaped like a nest. I remember the first time we brought Jolene home, the
excitement buzzing around the car, the happiness spilling into the house. I
remember the 27th day,it was the day Jolene just started breast feeding.
Before the 27th day,Jolene did not breast feed, but drank the milk pumped
out into a bottle. I remember the first time Jolene raised her head off of
the ground, a year later than normal babies. I remember when she started
cooing. I remember the first time she sat up, with support that is. I
remember the first time when she started walking up and down the edges of
the sofa. I remember how happy we were when she took her first step alone.
Although she has endured endless suffering from her congenital deficiencies
and went through numerous hospitals, doctors’ visits, fright, and pain, she
was such strong, brave, and a proud female warrior. Like Julius Caesar said
, she came, she saw, she conquered. She came to the world, saw everything
she needed to, good and bad, and she conquered us and everybody she saw, to
love her and care for her，it is our honor. May God Bless Her!
虽然我没有为她的生存权而抗争，因为我知道她已经没有办法回来了；但我会为她作为
未成年人应得的安全和受保护的权利而抗争。也在此向各位老师呼吁，请不要忘记自己
肩上的责任，当父母把孩子交到你们手上的时候，是对你们莫大的信任，这个责任关乎
着每一对父母和千千万万的家庭，我希望这样的悲剧不要再发生了。祝福大家。
