族裔战争亚裔很难取胜，所以大家需要谨慎和警惕。吴先生不希望亚裔成为这场战争的
牺牲品。

Dear Like-Minded:
See below for something (SJR23)* that many of us will like, perhaps
greatly. But let buyers beware! It is dangerous politics, we need to
play it smart!
As you may know Mei Mei is the wife of Senator Huff, who is CA's Senate
minority leaders and a politician. Up till a few weeks ago, the Republicans
in the CA legislature lived under the absolute rule of the Democrats who
had more than 2/3 vote in both the Senate and the Assembly -- those of you
who have not been in politics are extremely unlikely to appreciate what that
means. All those ELECTED Republicans became non-persons. Nothing they
wanted to do will be approved. All Republican sponsored bills would be "
dead on arrival", because the Dems don't even need a
single Republican vote for passing budget bills -- hence no aid pro quo,
period.
How can a Party lose that badly? Who knows. None of them can be too
politically astute.
So finally, inspired by the effectiveness of Ch-Ams community in opposing
the SCA 5, it is beginning to play SMART politics -- supporting ChAm/AsAm
to drive a wedge between the Dem Party and AsAms -- fine, I want the Dems to
show more respect to us.
However, there is one thing that none of us should help, NOT EVEN
TOLERATE -- to let the those nuts in partisan politics to drive a wedge
between Hispanic/black communities and the AsAm community. BEWARE, some of
the folks behind that wedge
are liberals -- those who feel humiliated by their support of SCA 5 and want
to fan a fire between Hispanics/Black and AsAms to justifying their past
slavish submittal to the Hispanic and black politicians.
Can Sen. Huff get his bill through? I don't know. I don't know enough
about CA legislature politics. But it is an apparent WEDGE to keep the fire
going between the ChAm community and the Democrats and there could also be
a hope that the Black/Hispanics senators and Assembly-person will boycott
this bill. DANGER. Don't take the bait. Unlike SCA 5, such a bill
doesn't affect reality. Indeed, it can be brought up anytime. Let all the
furies on the Hispanic/black/Dem sides die down first.
80-20 has successfully played one party against another in the past and
in the SCA 5 campaign. Don't let ourselves
be a pawn in other people's partisan political games!!!!
BEWARE. BEWARE.
* SJR stands for Senate Joint Resolution, which means it needs to pass both
the CA Senate and the Assembly.
PS I am not charging Mrs. Huff with anything. I just want you to know that
politicians are always good at the "Divide and Conquer" game.
I will indeed continue to communicate respectfully with politicians on
both sides. I've recently initiated communicating with Dem leader about the
dangers of having the Hispanic/black politicians behaving too emotionally.
